I have now completed 9 weeks of this journey toward better health. I started on March 1, when I weighed 345 pounds. This morning, May 2, I weighed in at 311.6! For the week that is a 2.4 pound loss, and brings my total weight loss to 33.4 pounds.
This was a very stressful week, and one in which my routine was greatly disrupted. I was only able to get to the gym once for an hour-long workout. I stayed within my Weight Watchers points on all days, but I wasn’t always as hydrated as I would like to be. Also, I wasn’t pushing the vegetables as I have in past weeks. All that being said, I am very happy with a 2.4 pound weight loss. I am now just 1.1 pounds away from having lost 10% of my start weight.
The week ahead will be less stressful, and I should get back to making 3 visits to the gym. The large blister on the ball of my foot has healed, but there remains a smaller one between my big and second toe. I have decided that I am not letting that one get in the way of making progress. I plan to go do 1 hour sometime today, and will do a combination of treadmill and bike, with a few minutes on the arc trainer.
Because things have been hectic, I haven’t been writing much on this blog. I also plan to get back to that routine this week as well, posting my thoughts about weight loss, interesting websites and articles, restaurant thoughts and more. So, stay tuned…more to come!
