Today marks the 9th day of the Daytona 500km walking challenge. Here is my progress so far:
Today I went to the gym and did an 8km walk on the treadmill. The plan for tomorrow morning is 10km. I have been battling blisters on the bottom of my right foot, but I think I have found a solution. I have been talking my foot with Kiniseo (sp?) tape. It adheres to he foot and eliminates the friction on the skin. The blisters I have are still there and healing, but not getting worse.
As you can see I didn’t get any walking done yesterday (Sunday). I was very active and put up our outdoor lights (when I am completely done I will post a picture). It was kind of fun. Like many people, my garage has a lot of stuff in it. Getting around in there go dig out the Christmas lights involves a bit of climbing around. That combined with getting under the basement steps are two activities I would have engaged my children’s help with. But, being as I am over 100 pounds lighter than a year ago, I am proud to say I was able to do it all myself!
How are you doing on the challenge?
