A downside to weight loss? Shivering in meetings

Today I had a long meeting in another building. The room we used was near the cafeteria. When I arrived at 7:30am, the room was closed up and cold. I hoped that as participants arrived it would get better.

It didn’t.

If anything it got COLDER.

I was actually shivering. I looked around during and no one seems seemed to have this problem. While I do hate the cold, I love in the Upper Midwest. It gets cold here and I am proud of the fact that I can deal with it. But today was I cold.

I started my journey on March1. By the time I’d lost any significant weight the weather had broke over to spring. This is my first winter as a relatively thin person in more than a decade.

All I’m saying is I foresee sweaters in my future.

  1. This is not a bad problem to have in the grand scheme of things!

I live in Colorado, and it is also very cold (and very snowy!) here. I have not been any colder than usual, though. Maybe next winter! 😉

  2. Instead of calling myself fat or overweight I used to say I was well insulated not knowing bow true it was. I am now a sweater manic and feel naked without several layers on, even when it isn’t so freaking cold out.

I'd love to read what you think. Feel free to comment. You can do so anonymously if you like, but I'd really like to know who you are if you don't mind. Thank you for reading! :)
