Yesterday I posted that I had taken a rest from working out, and that I planned to resume today. One of my readers saw this ,gave me a supportive thought, then challenged me by saying “I want to see a strong update tomorrow.” Well then! I guess I better get to it.
This morning I was up before the alarm clock, which is good because the clock was set wrong. I fixed that, and then bounded out of bed promptly at 4:00am. Off to the gym I went for a hearty, 3.8 mile, one hour walk on the treadmill.
After my shower, I packed my lunch and headed to work. Over the course of the day I was able to get in 6 laps inside the building (a total of 1.5 miles), by utilizing time between meetings. At lunch I stepped outside for another 1 mile walk around the parking lots (by the way, it was sunny but still nippy)
After work I went straight to the gym and put in another hour on the treadmill, logging an additional 3.8 miles. And, here is my chart:
Yes. I walked 10.1 miles today. I am tired, let me tell you. But, I did live up to the challenge thrown down within my challenge. By walking 10 miles today, it’s almost as though I didn’t miss a day at all.
