It is feeling boring and repetitious for me to say that I have been on a roller coaster ride for the last 10 weeks. If you’re tired of reading about it, imagine how tired I am of living it! Well, I am hoping that the ride is coming to an end. Today I tipped the scale at 223.8 pounds. That is a 0.2 increase from last week, or basically maintenance. Considering I have had multi-pound swings over this period, I am very happy with this result. To date I have lost 121.2 pounds, or 35.1% of my body weight.
When I look back at this past week there were some
reasons excuses why I didn’t get to the gym as often as I’d planned. Some of them were quite lame! I went on Monday and today. Also, my walking at work hasn’t been up to my previous standards. I did a good job on tracking my food and staying on plan, to which I attribute my relative success. But the gym work needs work. I have been toying with the idea of adding weight training, but haven’t gotten it done yet. This weekend I am camping and I plan to hit the gym on Monday with a new, revised plan of attack. I am also going to set a walking goal for myself. I find that when I have a goal to attain I work harder (stop the presses), so I am going to push myself in that way.
One other thing I have noted is that both this blog and http://www.bobby-c-blog.com have been a little light on content. I am taking along a notebook to camp and plan to brainstorm some ideas for both blogs. My wife and I talked and after about 14 months of nearly daily posts to one or the other blog, maybe I just needed a week or two off. I don’t think I have a lack of things to say, I just haven’t been as inspired to write lately.
The bottom line today is that I feel very good. I had a positive outcome this week, and I have an upbeat outlook for the week ahead.
