Sadly, my beloved Tribe lost in 10 innings last night. Worse, the game ended at nearly 1am, so I am feeling the effects today.
On the positive side, I forced myself to get up and pack a lunch today, so I did not blow up my progress by going out.
The plan is to hit the gym tomorrow, after ample sleep tonight. Tomorrow is also my official weigh in day.
Emotion and stress contribute to my challenge. the WS provided the emotion of late, but work stress has been high for months. It isn’t something magical about stress, it is just that I tend to eat more, and don’t prioritize making healthy choices. Awareness of that link is key to my eliminating the trigger.
Here is an example. I keep mints at my desk. when I go to a meeting, I pop one to make sure my breath is fresh. Of late, I have been taking a handful to meetings that are high stress. Yesterday I checked and each one is 1 WW point. I was having 8 or 10 a day at times. that is 40 to 50 wasted points a week, or more than 1 day of eating.
What mindless mistakes do you make? What triggers can you identify and address?
